Who is Jesus? Matthew shows us our real savior, from a real family with real problems, who gives us a real solution. We celebrate Christmas with the conclusion of our sermon series “Who Is Jesus?”
We need help to believe the unbelievable. God sends help. Trusting God leads us to love others. This happens with Joseph and Mary, Jesus’ disciples and with us.
We continue our sermon series “Who Is Jesus?”
For our mid-week Advent service, we receive an amazing promise for Jesus. He teaches us a different kind of greatness than the world around us. Jesus’ greatness is sacrifice for the sake of salvation. From him for all, from us for each other and all who would believe.
Solomon was a king who asked God for wisdom, and God gave him everything his heart could desire. Solomon had it all, and discovered that everything in his life was vanity. Jesus is the one who is greater than Solomon, who comes to give us true wisdom which would give us life forever. We continue our sermon series “Who Is Jesus?” by looking at Jesus, the Son of Solomon.
We can learn a lot about who Jesus is by looking at who is in His family. Abraham is the second person listed in Jesus’ family in Matthew’s Gospel. Jesus is the Son of Abraham, which means Jesus was the son who was promised! God prepares us for a purpose and He provides! We continue our sermon series “Who Is Jesus?” by looking at Jesus, the Son of Abraham.
We can learn a lot about who Jesus is by looking at who is in His family. Jesus is the son of David, and David was a King. That makes Jesus a King. But Jesus is a different kind of King and He rules a different kind of kingdom. We begin our new sermon series: “Who Is Jesus?”
